Windows [SOLVED] Saved game data transfer 1.4 - 2.0

Hello,
The intro splash screen says "With the 2.0 release your 1.4 savegames will no longer work". It says "Please check the link for more information".
I click the link, it says nothing about save games.
I look all over the internet, nobody will give me a clear answer.

I am an admin of paid 7d2d.net server for my friends.
I have several friends playing my hosted server.
We are on day 300 and put a lot of work into our world.

I need concise information on how the update to 2.0 will affect our work put into this game:
1) Will 2.0 be a forced update on Steam clients?
2) As soon as Steam updates my local game to 2.0, will this break ability to run off the hosted server?
3) Does server and local client BOTH, HAVE TO BE, 2.0 for us to keep playing?
4) Will we lose all of our work if local client, or server, or both, are upgraded to 2.0?
5) Is there any way to transfer all the work we put in our map into 2.0?
6) Can we skip upgrading to 2.0?

1. You can opt out of getting updates, and you can also just lock in version 1.4 right now.
2. If the server is running 1.4, you will not be able to join with a 2.0 client. You cannot join with a 1.3 client either. That isn't anything new.
3. As stated in number 2. Server and client versions must match. It is a bit silly to think otherwise since that is basically an industry standard.
4. No. It will still be there. Just only attainable via the 1.4 client version.
5. Nope. Never has been.
6. Already answered this in #1.

Thank you. Then we just stay with 1.4 all around and keep developing the map we already have.

Please expand on "opt out of getting updates, and you can also just lock in version 1.4 right now". Steam on client side, paid server on server side (obviously I have to contact their tech support to retain 1.4 server version. Are you referring to opting out on Steam side?

Most hosting companies you can pick the game client version for your server in the control panel. You would need to check with their support if it is not there.

Marked as SOLVED. Much appreciated!!!

Something else to take into consideration. Before anyone joins in, have them verify that they currently have 1.4 by starting a new SP game. If it shows 2.0, then they didn't set it up correctly prior to Monday. At that point, they just need to go into the options and select 1.4 for version and let the game download the correct files for that version. That will keep someone from messing up their game / profile if they accidently have 2.0 installed.
