There's a lot I'm looking forward to in 2.0, but improvements to wilderness road generation are at the top of the list. Probably because I'm weird, or OCD, or whatever. But those ugly, buggy terrain malformations at POI RoadExits have kinda ruined RWG for me lately. I really hope those are gone for good.
There are still a few road issues like roads that cut across a POI corner have a bump as they are not allowed to change a POI's terrain height, so the road path smoothing needs to avoid it somehow.

That's not a big problem compared to the weird RoadExit terrain issues, or roads just plain failing to generate and connect at all to some RoadExits. Those are the worst.

There's also the old issue of roads cutting completely through really huge wilderness POIs, but it sounds like that will be less likely to occur now with the improvements you've made to POI placement in RWG.
 
Does anybody else NOT see the avatar images on the left of the forum posts?
Weirdly enough, I do see my avatar image on the left ONLY when writing a new post, but after I send it... no more! :unsure:
The new forum is still a work in progress. Certain features might not work for a while, there could be downtime.
It will all be sorted out soon enough.
 
Unknown. We tend to add more or change more than we estimate, so it takes longer than we think.
Does this allude to there possibly being some Easter eggs being added, that were not written
about? I ask because I remember through a few alphas, the simple release, actually turned into
the release plus an inclusion of topics preceding the release, randomly posted through the forums,
specifically the pimp dreams, that aligned with the release goal for that particular version.
 
If doing challenges are going be the key to getting the protector item to move to the next biom 2.0 I would like to recommend that the challenge is solo based and not party based, if it isn't already.
Ive been trying to get some info on this so if anyone has any to share wo0uld be great.

Most of it is loot, gather, craft, time spent, so each of those a player has to do themselves.

There are almost always going to be changes we make that are not mentioned in road maps. Like we have a consultant programmer working on new sign tech for buildings, which may or may not pan out as his first two ideas were too performance heavy, but the 3rd looks promising. That could be a 2.x update or 3.0.

They have stated that everyone has to make the protection themselves. No selling or trading or anything. Also, all current challenges are solo.
