I had a dire wolf die on wooden spikes, it was not killed by me(so no XP). I don't recall if I shot at it before it died in attempt to kill it. Upon attempting to harvest it with a bone knife, the game was giving me the same value of XP on every carcass hit as if I had killed the wolf myself. I...
