Yeah they really do soak up the bullets but once you hit max level in a weapon type it returns to one shot kills.

Hey Everyone, just trying to guage what sort of high scores for kills people have gotten so far in the current version. I have been playing for approximately 376 hours on a multiplayer survival (but basically solo) and have just clocked over 11,500 with one death (my own landmine on hour 9)...
