I don't think that I would even consider adjusting the config files to be modding. Changing the dlls or adding in custom content, that would be modding. You can use the configs to do a lot in this game though, I even used them to make all female players start the game topless with a thong. It...

The xmls are basically the server options that you are asking for anyway. They are configuration files that the devs put in to make the game about as customizable as a person could want. Just because you can't adjust them from the game's main menu doesn't mean that they aren't supposed to be...

I'm not sure about the 1st problem, but the second one could definitely be adjusted in the config files. You could do it in the rwgmixer.xml, you could say where and how often they spawn if at all. You could also adjust the prefab xmls to set conditions for trader spawns.

Just be patient, it can't be that much longer. No use in making people mad, or getting banned from forums and then have experimental release 3 weeks later.

I'm not sure what you mean by him "White knighting", but I also would rather wait as long as it takes to get the npcs and settlements in. I don't want to rush them in the slightest because after npcs get in really all that's left is animal taming if they do it and hopefully fishing/boats. After...

If you think this is too much, you should see the trailers for the game "SCUM" coming out soon. That could possibly be an example of overboard. 7 Days could still go much farther before getting anywhere near going too far with details.

I'm not really in a rush for the update. I'm hoping that the longer they take, the more features make it in. Mad Mole videos on the other hand, satisfy my 7 Days craving for about 2 weeks at a time depending on the video.

I completely agree, bring on them npcs. if anything, maybe an npc could be recruitable.
