    Okay, we're envisioning different things, then. In my mind, once you'd repaired a block, it was done with, and you could then proceed to destroy it and it wouldn't matter.

    Presumably you'd have to deal with zombies while repairing, it wouldn't just be a completely empty POI with no sleepers. I don't know that it needs any extra special interactivity other than that. Maybe add a chance for doing the repairs to spawn some extra zombies due to the noise?

    Calipers, people, calipers! That was what always sent me exploring back in A16, was the need to find the ■■■■ calipers. Granted, with quests resetting POIs I guess you wouldn't need to go searching for untouched loot, but maybe make it so they can't spawn during a quest/after a quest reset...

    I'm certainly not opposed to the idea. Just not sure whether adding a quest with different bounds than a standard quest is within the scope of the sort of things TFP are likely to do at this point.

    So different from the current "stay within bounds" of quests? Because that lets you go a handful of blocks outside of the actual POI area, enough to set up a basic defensive position.

    You could still build a "base" just outside the bounds of the POI (which is probably what I would do.) Give me a couple in game hours to prepare, and I might do otherwise.
