Im with a small group that plays, we usually take over a building as our base. In this patch we are using a construction site as a horde base works well, although we need to make repairs after the horde night.

So come to find out only the person who owns the claim block can move them as well, so even if your allied and all live together, its just whoever set down the claim block who can move things.
