You have a version mismatch. Had the exact same problem today from the update. Force update your server, and game clients. One of them likely the server is running the old version.

I've run into the same issue. But I'm guessing it's because I used Nitrogen to generate my latest world. I only ever saw it when I was flying around in God mode exploring the world before I settled on one I like.
