PC How do you like A17 experimental NOW?

Bad idea to do it that way, quality=damage alone is how it was and why they gave it a change. And btw you already can do similar stuff still just in another way. You can add mods. First adding a mod that adds firerate or accuracy alone already adds a ton of power to a weapon even without "moar...

PC How do you like A17 experimental NOW?

This shows just one thing: zombies are still WAY to easy to fight! In a SURVIVAL game, where SURVIVING is king, hence the name, the risk of fighting should always just be a last resort. Right now zeds simply aren't that dreadful as their influence in the world should make them. "Yay, XP on...

    PC Mod: Jump Jets

Definately can be found and bought. Cool idea, but doesn't fit the setting too much, imho. Also it can propel players even while encumbered like hell. Needs some work to adjust.

PC How do you like A17 experimental NOW?

Well, adding a "sorry" or "no offense" to every sentence doesn't make it any more polite, but well, let's skip that. As is possible to see I wrote about lvl-gating. Did I wrote about other requirements? Hmm... not here, not there... oh, right, I did not. I wrote about player level gating! The...

PC How do you like A17 experimental NOW?

Liked b233, felt like survival once again. Assembled mods at traders were a bit too common, but else it was quite nice, with all the additions of A17 elsewhere. B238 once more, feels like cancer. edit: Regarding the ohhh so evil forge... As so many of those "we want lvl-gating back"-guys...

PC Feedback: Repairing it till it's broken

Can't fit it in my original Post, so sorry for the DP: @mods If possible please keep the thread free of the typical "git gud/roflolz" kind of posts. Constructive comments are welcome of course.

PC Feedback: Repairing it till it's broken

Greetings, after having the time to test A17 quite a while I want to talk about some aspects that felt important to me and keep things as short as possible yet detailed enough. Still, wall of text incoming. I hope it's the right place, if not please let me know Roland. 1. - NEGATIVE 1.1 -...

Agreed. Like the toggle better too. And yeah, both is present already.

Shure, but doesn't make it any better. @PhazerTrax Sadly, a lot of recipes are gated behind plvl now. It's not only the forge. Especially important are the highly gated traps and vehicles. With the smaller starting inventory the latter are even more improtant. The imho worst part of all this...

Yes, one of the most annoying things. I guess that's how they want to stretch the gameplay, sadly it only makes it more boring because of forcing the player into a single style of play.

    PC weapon damange differences

Yet, the weirdest thing is that you can have up to 5 mod slots, but only ever put 2 mods in an item ever. (at least for me it's that way) Plus, the compound bow for example seems to have only 3 possible mods at all, and you can't have 2x the same mod... Quite some work to do I'd say.

Ofc going full RPG would be awesome, but seriously burst the limits I'm pretty shure. That's why I brought up Subnautica as an imho good example of how to intertwine the gameplay elements of the standard game with a plot to widen their extend without/less overburdening during developement...

Yes, a plot (and in general more background and characteristics) is definately one of the things the game and it's world still needs, imho. Something to tie it together. A great example for how that could work imho is Subnautica. Truly awesome game imho. If it were not for that strange n sterile...

+1 for "not liking style" if you can call the current one style at all... ;) Liked the old ones of prior alphas quite a bit better. More immersive. The best ingame-menu screens I've seen in the last years comes from "The Forest". The inventory screen as a open backpack is nice, but the stat...
