I believe the md5 error occurs when the game is loading the world and finds a corrupt block so it resets the area surrounding said block. Therefore you're fine until you try loading again, just make sure you go straight to the game file screen and delete the local save before restarting and you...

I believe the console doesn't run the games off of the disc anyway, it's only used to transfer the data to your hard drive so that wouldn't work. I have read that playing the game in 'offline mode' on the console should work because the game won't save to the cloud, and the md5 error occurs...

I play regularly on the xbox1x and the game runs great.

Welcome to the game btw, and try not to listen to all the 'doomsayers' on this forum, it may not be any where near as advanced as the PC version but the game works fine and i've put 100's of hours into it and enjoyed every minute.

Not sure what's going on there, maybe it's the type of block the walls are made of, have you tried replacing a block in the wall with a new one to see if the torch will stick? I've never used the military camp as a base so i don't know for sure,........p.s. torches wont stick to walls of sand.

I'm still putting a shed load of time into this game as well, runs great on the 'X' btw, it's a shame this can't be sorted as there's nothing quite like it on console.

Thank goodness sony didn't get the rights because they would've made it exclusive to ps4 and a lot of people would miss out on this great game. By the way, i'm on the 1x and the game runs great, maybe the std xbox suffers because of inferior memory compared to ps4.

I bought the game on console on release and have put hundreds of hours into it, i've got my money's worth and am fully satisfied with the game as a whole. And if i'd never seen the pc version i would be none the wiser, i wish TFP all the best and hope something could be worked out, if not...

Why shut this thread down? i'm sure there are plenty of people who have an interest in this game and come here to see if there's any news. Some people seem to take pleasure in announcing that 'the console version is dead',.... well it might not get any more updates but i'm keeping my fingers...

I use the seed "Ergoproxy" it has plenty of towns, with a small section of wasteland only and no large bodies of water to worry about, the terrain is free from extreme cliffs so using the bike is trouble free.

I'm still pouring a shed load of hours into this game, there's just nothing like it on console, it runs great and the md5 error is no longer a problem when using the 'workaround fix' so no more lost progress. Here's hoping things can be worked out soon, seeing the update 17 on pc has me green...
