On the PC version, yes, the name you give your randomly generated world also acts as its seed. It actually strips out all spaces, so "My Name Is Jeff" becomes "MyNameIsJeff" to the system. On the console, I'd imagine it's the same way, but I don't know for certain. I am going to test it out with...
