Eeh I think the Forest biome is good enough as is. Perhaps some Rain forest could look different enough for a new biome idea (should they want to make new biomes ofc) It's really a shame that the Plains is not used and that Radiation (I remember that "ugly greenish" ) were dropped .

Hm ... I know there is radiation just outside of the map, right now. Maybe if there are some zones using this effect inside the map too could be cool, forcing us to wear the hazmat suit as suggested in the main post. Thanks for the info.

Oooh I will totally google for this plains biome now, I am very interested in what it looked like. I rememeber when I researched the map and talked to my friends they also mentioned something like that, it would be really cool to have it back. If it is still in the game as a texture somehow...
