So, I've gotten myself in a bad habit. Instead of dropping items with the "D" key; as I scavenge, I twitch the mouse off my inventory and let go of the mouse button. i'm guessing this fast, back and forth movement of the mouse is activating the Windows feature that minimizes all open...
