I'm with you, My horde base design, uses the AI of the zombies against them, no cheese blocks, just give them a path to me we I stand behind my barrier and kill them all.

My normal everyday armor is all Assassin except for pPeacher gloves. I use other pieces depending o what I doing, mining, mostly mining, the same for farming, wrenching cars and cutting down trees

I've pretty much always build my base with a mini hirde tower connected just for screamer hordes. Seeing how I had my first pair show up on day four, I've accelerated how quickly I add the horde tower to the base.

Well me being 99.9% of the time a solo player, my junkie has been a second gun when doing higher tier level quest and guards me while mining. But I agree that I don't understand why they switched to lead for ammo.

Tier level differences, hunting rifle is 2 tiers below sniper rifle. It's same with most tools and weapons, as you go up in tier, the damage increases. So the Vulture is a higher tier than the revolver. This is a video game, not a real life simulation.  

The wire seems to come out of the fence lower than in previous Alphas. It use to come out about a half block above the floor, now it's almost even. Running the fence post horizontal isn't always an option. 

I was wondering why they did that. I still think they need to add a bit of LBD, for example, every game hour you mine, should be worth X% of reading a magazine, so spending a night mining would add a mining tool magazine.
