Yes, Regular 45 degree gables existed pre-A17 when Shingles were still a thing. The transitions I requested at the bottom have never been a thing.

We used to have 45 degree Roof gables in previous patches. It seems like these were removed to make way for the new crafting Block. Now we have a 30 degree Roof gable in the Frame block menu, and we have 30 degree, 45 degree and 60 degree internal gable blocks... but Only the 30 degree External...
