I'm not really sad that I lost my posts... I was never a frequent poster, and didn't say all that much that mattered anyway. I'm more sad to lose all those old threads. Every once in a while I'd dig back through some of them just out of nostalgia. Did we lose chimneygate? How am I supposed...

Yeah a lot of my posts disappeared. I didn't have all that many anyway (compared to some of the forum greats such as Guppy), but many of the ones I DID have were apparently before the cutoff date.

I suspected as much about potatoes. Thanks for the clarification :)

Hello all, Long time no see, haven't been lurking the forums in quite some time. First thing I noticed, looks like there's been an update to vBulletin? And the off topic section appears to be gone. Was this a nudge for us to stop talking about off topic stuff, or? Here I was ready to talk...

Ah, the 'forge ahead' days. Around alpha 10-11, no? It was a terrible gate, but it was also cool in a way... Nothing I can think of in the current game compares to the elation of finding that one book and instantly being transported to endgame.

As others have said here... Melee is by far my preferred choice in A17. In fact, I've never used melee attacks more than I do in this alpha. Even without perks, it is pretty easy to manage. To use a standard wandering horde as an example... I will typically melee until my stamina is very low...

Update: PC built, using it right now. So far, loving it. For anyone considering whether or not it's worth it to buy a full tower, by the way... do it. Such a pleasure to build this machine in this case. Also... getting a steady 60 fps for the first time ever in 7d2d. Using the same GPU...
