I'm definitely not complaining. It keeps you on your toes and challenging content is far more exciting. The death penalty is far more forgiving now so I dont see any harm in forcing the player to play it safer early on or to risk getting chewed on by a feral.
I've gotta disagree with you regarding the mountain textures. I think they are far more asthetically pleasing than prior builds. I do wish they returned the corresponding resource though.
