I have just spoen with her on twitter, and she is ok despite everything. Once her Admin status here is removed she hope to be back as a regular player of the game:)

To add on to what Clare said. its too late with oyur current save but you could just play a private hosted game that is invie only, no more greifers

Never had md5 once lose connection once in a while but rare (ps4)

Take aprt empty trolleys with a wrench, aircon units possibly, chairs you can make them too at workbench

It was annoying at first but I only use the chainsaw when in a real hurry for wood. Auger? Not useful enough for its fuel use, if I wanted to tunnel at speed wpuld use explosives :D

Is this the only game where it happens, it could be worth you trying to host instead of your friend
