I wish you guys would stick to the topic as I have laid out in the OP when it comes to discussing the mechanics of a LBD system. I personally think the hybrid system I have thought out would serve LBD the best. It solves the problem of not tying crafting to LBD and the respec problem. I also...
Personally I want them to do it sooner rather than later if they decide to incorporate some LBD cause it will influence any other design decisions going forward. I just want the thing finalized, no more redoing stuff. If it were up to me I would do it on 3.0 at the latest, but really I think it...
Well I am confused now cause I never mentioned A15 at the start then you say I'm wrong? Very confusing. My point is TFP keep using that talking point even though LBD still exists on 16 and there is no spam crafting. I see a lot of people that are misinformed in various places that are against...
Nope, play A16.4 or look at any videos. In A16.4 if you spam craft it does nothing. Only the Tool crafting perk will increase the quality of crafted items. They also are gated by character level. A15 was the spam craft alpha. Tired of people repeating TFP talking points about that.
That was certainly some words. It has little to do with my actual post though. I'm not sure why you are mentioning things like "To level armor, you stand in a dog pack or zombie pack and let them beat on you while just eating consumables to counter." It's clear you didn't read it or understand...
The point is I want to be immersed and I expect a level of realism if I am playing a survival game. Regardless of the obvious fact I know I am playing a game. They don't have to make it more obvious is the point. If they advertised it as a more arcadey experience it would be different. I am...
When something isn't immersive and it reminds you are playing a game and can perhaps lesson the experience depending on things. An arcadey experience so to speak. Something we should avoid as much as possible when the game was advertised as a horde, survival, crafting game.
Personally I don't like that idea cause it feels super gamey. I still feel like what I have proposed makes the most sense and wouldn't require a ton of work, just some balancing of the player perks with LBD in mind.
Magazines are a whole different issue and personally I don't mind them and I...
With what I had in mind you wouldn't have to think about it that much and it would sit nicely between the current two systems of perks and magazines. Like I said it would give you those small dopamine hits from doing tasks you would normally do and you would slowly get better at them, but you...
I feel like there can be decisions to made.. for example if it's night time do you want to go out and risk mining and fighting to increase your skills? Honestly my LBD ideas are meant to give you those nice small dopamine hits and to reward what you normally do so it doesn't feel like a grind. I...
Athletics could be tied to other things than just holding shift and running. I mean running more to increase it makes the most sense, but jumping, mining, and fighting in melee could affect it as well. Main problem with jumping is you could just spam jump all night so maybe that shouldn't be...
It doesn't have to. With my proposed ideas you would still get the the most increase by using your chosen perks for whatever gun/weapon you like. LBD would be more of a general slowly building action skill that would help a bit with damage or it could just be better reload speed, accuracy...
The Town Hall was just a recent example, but I see it constantly over YT,Reddit, Steam..you name it. You don't have to believe it, or see it, but either way I don't think this is important thing to focus on. I would rather discuss improving the game mechanics in a more interesting way with a...
I don't know why either and I am SICK of the same bad talking point from even TFP that LBD was just "spamming axes" when it's clear they didn't play 16.4 which gated crafting to perks that required a certain player level. 16.4 had the best form of LBD and for whatever reason they threw that...
Well one sample size is the last Town Hall they had on Twitch. The main things being spammed by many different people were two things: Jars and LBD. I've seen it been said in many other places over the years so I think it's a fair statement to suggest it's a very popular idea.
I wouldn't get...
