That is not exactly correct. (As far as I remember) TFP have said on occasion that they want to support PvP players as well, just that it is at a lower priority than other stuff, like for example finishing the game. Though they have also often said that they do not officially support more than 8...
Do you think they will ever release a finished game? I think such a record would be meaningless if it wasn't about a game that was eventually released. After all it would be easy to create a new record by just starting an EA game and pretenting to still work on it while doing nothing.
As you didn't specify which copium you are refering to and my motives seem to coincide with some other longterm forum users I just thought to mention them. It is as much a sideways comment as your question was. And I didn't feel personally attacked.
Sadly I don't remember that rabbithole, also...
I got the most out of 7D2D's development model, once a year a new big patch that made the game fresh again. I don't know what I should cope about. I assume there are other players here in the forum as well who are in principle getting the best out of the game and the advantages far outweigh some...
Baldurs Gate 3, Pathfinder something something Righteous, ...
RPGs will not go away, they just won't get produced by many AAA companies who usually flock to the genre that makes the most money currently.
You look at open world or survival games and ask why they often are not really full-fledged...
7D2D will probably get an entry into the guiness book ;). But apart from that Subnautica2 is not a good comparison.Because a successor game is often much less work as much of its code and assets are based on a finished original game. Secondly many games start EA for their game relatively late in...
They could do that and bring up another ■■■■storm because lots of players ARE waiting for bandits. AND throw away months of development effort they already put into bandits. AND maybe even push some people into making a lawsuit because they not only promised this with kickstarter but with a...
I don't get it: You say you lost interest immediately because you found a shotgun early in the game.
But then you propose that you should be able to find even more of those powerful weapons right away. Isn't that greatly increasing the chance to make you loose the desire to keep playing?
Bandits were a promise in kickstarter (and I assume you know that), so TFP needs to make a serious effort in adding them. For people like me who don't put much importance into the bandits feature that means we just accept this as a necessary step in completing the game. And we can still hope...
As far as I can judge from the outside this is NOT a security risk for other website owners. And probably TFP thinks the same, so they won't do some emergency patch.
Normal changes take weeks or months because they are collected in one big patch. Especially if they try to fix this problem for...
This would be correct if the XP gap per skillpoint was dependend on skillpoints already acrued. But the XP gap is AFAIK linked to your level. And you are still the same level before and after you get the 4 points from the initial quests.
I certainly expect a series of linked quest to go against one of the factions. This was mentioned as a coming feature multiple times.
Yes, I talked about the design shift of 3.0 to add dozens of options and even modes to give consoleros a substitute to the missing mods.
You were talking about...
There is already a bug report and a TFP tester said that they are working on it.
But I don't think a solution is easy to find: Until now servers report whatever they want. If TFP brings out a patch that for example removes all servers with >999 max players then those fake servers will simply...
I only know they said they have been working on updates like 2.x and bandits concurrently. Quite possible that I missed that bit about bandits and story, but I would guess that bandits and story will not be released in the same update.
By the way, years ago Roland warned people here in the...
