I've just started playing A17 this week. The perk system is about as clear as mud. I too wondered why I couldn't make a forge until i came in here and read about the secret hover text.
What's even dumber is there's plenty of room to display the requirements right to the left of the lock.
The sort of testing I'm talking about isn't really "playing the game" as such. It's getting everyone coordinated a certain way to test a certain thing and then poof we delete that and go on to the next unit test or case test. Over and over and over as a full time job by people who are trained...
It would be too difficult for them to test and balance for 50 players, 40 players, 30,etc. That would be a lot for them to have to get set up and involve too many people having to be ready to test at all times. They can support 8 at a time because that's probably what is feasible right now.
I came to post something similar. When he used to play with Kage and Star he was always the one holding the other two back. He was never prepared and seldom helped with anything. If one of the other guys got something good he usually tried to weasel it off them. It's no big surprise he's...
I was sticking up for TFP earlier in the thread but with what has come to light I'm changing my mind. It's probably still a net benefit to the community maybe but only just barely. Assuming what you guys are posting is true then yeah, things got out of hand.
It's still an idea with merit but...
Are you under the impression that busy streamers are giving away their own access to other people? Or are you saying that the free keys that they were given to share are somehow granting access to 17?
The exclusivity causes more and unique streamers to play it this weekend. This causes those streamers viewers to watch a game they'd ordinarily not be exposed to. There are YouTube videos created that otherwise wouldn't have existed which also brings the eyeballs of new people to those videos...
So it's not 4000 viewers total as you were trying to imply. At a rough look it had averaged 3000 viewers per hour. If people watched an average of two hours (that's high i think) then that would roughly make it 36,000 viewers in a 24 hour period. Now is that just twitch or YouTube or both?
There have been perfectly good reasons for a 3 day period to streamers given in the thread. I've made my own points but since they're logical i get no replies and lots of fingers in ears people still make their great argument about how unfair it is.
Also, 4000 streamers doesn't mean that's...
Classic entitled whiner! good job!
I'll say it again more slowly since you and others cannot comprehend. Alpha 17.0 stable will release to everyone just like every alpha before it. They used to only allow access to experimental for the testing team but have now opened it up in the past two...
I was poking around one of the tiny garages that are all over towns back in A14 or 15. A crawler sort of slithered off the top of a refrigerator and scared me so bad I threw my coffee cup and broke the mirror behind my monitor. The scariest moments in this game almost always involve only one...
