    PC 2 Criticisms

I'm not sure you understand how suspension of disbelief works, so I'll take a moment to get you up to speed first. Suspension of disbelief is the concept that permits someone to become immersed in a piece of media. It requires a consistency and logic to hold it together; without it, the person...

    PC 2 Criticisms

Consistency, mainly. Pots do make more sense on a rooftop farm. It's just the fact that you can't have a farm on the ground anymore, without pots, that seems silly--especially when there are POIs that do have ground based gardens. You're using the same soil, so it just doesn't make logical sense...

    PC 2 Criticisms

The usual farmer in our group saw the change and said, "um, don't take this the wrong way, but it's ok if I'm not the farmer this time..." Like you, I don't care about added complexity or difficulty; though for me, I can't get over needing a planter pot instead of the ground. I hadn't noticed...

    PC 2 Criticisms

I was a bit too busy to play and monitor the changes during experimental this time around, but my group and I just got back into playing. Overall, we really love A18, especially the skills rebalance and new R mechanic, but we've got 2 criticisms we've all agreed on: Zombie reach: it's really...

PC How do you like A17 experimental?

Before A17e, the last time I came around to the forums was for A16e. I'm reasonably sure I recognize the most vehement "A17 is the worst ever, A16 was the best!!11one!!" commenters making the same claims about how "A16e is the worst ever, A15 was the best!!!one11!!"

PC How do you like A17 experimental?

I'd LOVE something like that, with only one addition: a death penalty slider between 0 and 60, too. Otherwise, it looks like all of the major settings I'd want to adjust on the fly.

PC How do you like A17 experimental?

Yes! I greatly prefer perks over RNG. My group found it too grindy and obnoxious when we'd have to hunt for minibike books and an auger. It was the least enjoyable part of the game for us. My group each had our own unique niche. I was the architect, we had a farmer, a crafter, a looter, an...

PC How do you like A17 experimental?

This! Except for the auger--my group and I were often looking for that well after day 70. And it was frustrating. I hated not knowing if we'd ever find the minibike book or an auger. Getting rid of that bit of RNG is very welcome.

PC How do you like A17 experimental?

I'm not generally a fan of encumbrance in games, but...have you worn a real armor helmet before? They're heavy. Unless you're in amazing shape, boots and a helmet will slow you down and tire you out just as much as any other armor. A day in these leather boots and this helmet was EXHAUSTING.

PC How do you like A17 experimental?

I said "Love it," but of course there are a few things I'd like to see changed. I'm not a fan of the specific death penalty in place, I think mining stamina needs major rebalancing, terrain generation is almost there but still needs some work to get rid of the roads ending in giant walls, and I...

PC An Idea On Gun Parts

No thanks. Because the need to improve would again be locked to a tedious system of managing parts. That's not a desirable feature.

PC Zombie loot - negative economic review

I also agree. I originally thought I wasn't going to like this change, but I'm having flashback to my group's horde nights where'd we'd have to clean up many dozens of corpses before we could begin repairs--and getting a ridiculous amount of junk. The current system is so much better in this regard.

PC Perks System and Level Gates

I believe that world is adjacent to the one where the zombies, and humans, have all been wiped out by the mountain of gun parts that came out of nowhere. That's as surprising as it is exciting to hear!

PC Perks System and Level Gates

Perks: Because of the way it's worded, I chose A16, but that's not really how I feel about it. I love a lot about the A17 system, but ideally, I'd prefer something in the middle: I liked having skills that improved by doing, but I think there were too many. I'd prefer one of two options: 1...

    PC Death Penalty Poll

I actually really like the idea of an XP loss without level loss as the death penalty--rather than negating XP for a time, it should just subtract earned XP so you have to regain what was lost and then some to level up. That way it functions as a penalty, without increasing the difficulty for...
