You're missing the point. In THIS industry and THIS circumstance it is a perfectly valid and accurate response. Just because you don't accept it does not change that fact.

I'd prefer it only save when shutting the game down. Just so that game session was saved. Not a huge deal since I do it manually now but, would be nice.
Shadows are indeed very expensive hardware wise and running them at 8 gig can certainly cause issues. Reflections are bad also. It's not really graphics alone that are the issue. It's CPU and RAM just as much. This game in intensive across the entire PC.
The corruption of the OS is not necessarily due to a "bad installation" as you said. It could well have been caused by an abrupt loss of power on a perfect OS installation. Is that concept really that hard to understand?
