I’m done with A17. I’ve made my criticisms clear in a number of threads. Hopefully the devs have listened. I’ll evaluate A18 when it comes out. My impression is that the devs like the changes I hate, so I may be done with 7 days (or perhaps playing mods).

I’m glad that you’re having fun so far. My big problems with A17 are things like: Dieing reduces your skills (including blocking crafting recipes) for an extended period of time (I think 30 min now) Overheating reduces your skills while overheated Hunger reduces your max health/stamina and...

I’d prefer if they focused some time on making more generic POIs that are interesting without making them linear dungeons. I like the dungeons, but I’d also like more houses that are just a normal house with some zeds.

What I read here is that you believe that your way of playing the game is correct and that other people should mod their game so that you don’t have to.

I view the current AI as an iteration towards ideal zombie behavior. It’s a completely new AI and feels too omniscient for zombies, but in some ways (e.g. behavior in POIs) it is better behavior. Hopefully in 17.something the AI will be less omniscient and feel more zombie like.

I don’t mind that forged iron and steel are not available until after some of the recipes that use them. I think it makes for a more interesting lead up to hose level tiers. I think that the recipes that use large quantities maybe should be moved to be the same level as the resource. The...

Also, if you can get your hands on them, the military shirt and pants have large cold and heat resist values. With those and a duster, I’d think you could handle nearly any environment.

Some items, such as some types of glasses, add an attribute point. That causes what you are seeing. The other thing that can happen is that you read a page that gives you +1 agility and +1 to some skill for half an hour. I believe that is displayed the same way.
