Why are you bothering with an RWG and replayability at all then? I don't think this decision is thought-out from the perspective of the game as envisioned and written. I've been playing real-time strategy game Factorio for over a hundred hours and haven't gotten halfway to the sandbox ultimate...

I think you'd best write a story then, because you just described an action-adventure and an RPG, respectively, not a storyless open-ended sandbox.
