I had similar difficulties finding a treasure where the area overlapped a house. I found the chest within one of the walls of the building, occupying an empty block where there would normally be a wall, so i'd advise looking closely in all the walls of the house your treasure area overlaps. I'm sure I found my auger parts killing lumberjacks, although I had to kill like 50+ for RNG to spawn me the auger parts. Hope this helps! :)

Better than devil you know than the devil you don't, plus the unity upgrade is needed and could potentially make the game much more enjoyable, especially if the optimization allows for better rendering (no more loading glitches!), additional content and smoother gameplay. My fingers are crossed...

Yep, combining is the way to boost your weapon levels, but you get a better 'boost' with combining fully repaired weapon parts so especially for really rare gun parts it is better to use repair kits on your parts before combining them. As for ranking up gun smithing.. You get XP for this perk...
