Im currently playing on the 1.2 Version with mods on the PC on a Multiplayer server and everytime i use a Random generated World or use a Map from the 7 Days to Die Mod Page the game creates those sink holes but only in the Burned Forest or Wasteland and the World gen is really wierd sometimes...
