Computer doing hard shut-off randomly during play

I'm fairly sure I can rule out a CPU or GPU overheating issue, as I've got other programs/games that beat the @%$# out of my computer as much as 7 Days does, and they don't cause the computer to suddenly shut off. (Not shut down - shut OFF.) My temps are good, nothing is overclocked, the fans...

    PC 2 Criticisms

The farm plots don't bother me and they don't break immersion for me any more than being able to put a truck in my pocket does, or carrying a forest's worth of trees around in my backpack. The concept for each of these is a hundred times sillier than having specialized soil for growing crops...

PC It's an experimental build of an alpha

Other people's house rules in Monopoly don't have the potential to make the designers change the game for everyone else who was playing by the published rules.

PC just updated to the latest E Build

You're living the sequel to The Happening.

PC hunger/thrist effecting max stamina should be swapped

Either that or make food not affect stamina until it gets below a certain percentage. Right now, max stam = food level, which means that you can only have 100% max stamina for a *very* brief period of time after you've eaten full to bursting.

PC Stamina and Hordes AI really suck

I like the concept of the new stamina system but I feel that it might be better balanced, or at least more agreeable, if the max stamina drain didn't start until your food level was below a threshold. As it is now, max stamina = food level. Maybe it should be max stamina = 2x food level, so that...

PC Alpha17 Feedback after 40 hours.

Generally what I see in the critical posts is just a lot of infantile pouting, ad hominem attacks and general ■■■■■■baggery. You can give me a diamond worth a million dollars but if you've stuffed it inside a moose poop don't expect me to thank you for the moose poop.

PC After 4000 hours with a11-a16, I won't spend much time in a17x. Here's why... no fun!

I think generally speaking the people who don't like the changes are the people who greatly prefer the crafting/building side of the game. Those of us who like or even love the changes probably greatly prefer the survival side. A17 is a lot more exciting for me than prior alphas, and I've been...

PC What are the benifits of level gating?

It's common in RPG-style games. The conceit is usually that damage-increasing skills are reflecting the character's ability to find weak points and vital spots more easily. People who play 7D2D from the perspective of a first-person shooter will of course find this jarring, because they expect...

PC What are the benifits of level gating?

My group is finding the new perk system to be a really useful and interesting change. Different players focus on different aspects of the perk system, so that in the early game everyone is specialized. Eventually that will change (since by max level you can get every perk), but for right now...

    PC Performance - 4k awful

Maybe it's because I used to be primarily a Mac gamer, and for two years my main Mac has been a Mac Mini from 2014, but seeing people complain about 30 fps is really strange. 30 fps looks fantastic to me. Hell, I can get by with 15 fps in a pinch (though I don't like to), but anything at 30 fps...

PC Alpha 17, Not That Great

To me the most amusing thing about this: at the same time that portions of the 7D2D community were getting themselves enraged over the fact that streamers got the experimental build 2 days before everyone else, portions of the X4 Foundations community were getting themselves enraged over the...
