last year, they released 1.2 exp on Dec 4th, and it went out to everyone on the 10th. There's still a little wiggle room for everyone to have 2.5 to play over the holidays. Just...don't bet your life savings or change your vacation plans...I'm just saying there is still a chance. Sorry that's as hopeful as I dare be.

I would also prefer if there's no stream. We already know pretty much what's coming to 2.5 and I really don't need to be shown everything before we get to experience it by ourselves in-game.
I really think that 2.5 Experimental will be released sometime next week and that, hopefully, most bugs will be fixed for a 2.5 Stable release before the end of December.

The Fun Pimps have not officially announced a stream yet, and we're in December already so, I would actually be surprise if they do a stream for 2.5
I guess is that we will get 2.5 Experimental next week (late in the week) and hopefully have a 2.5 Stable by the end of the year for all to enjoy during the Holidays. I'm sure that this is what TFP wants, but crossing my fingers that they get it done on time.

A lot of stuff was merged from trunk to 2.5 this week with more to go. Test builds are being made, but testing will take several days as with this quantity of merging, revisions can be missed or something broken due to bad merging.

It's a shame though.
In my opinion having a stream also serves the purpose to highlight and give due credit to all the work you've been doing. 🫤
 
Streams usually are meant to showcase a new version of the game such as x.0

2.5 is a big leap for survival, no doubt.

Finding out how, by ourselves would be just better. Also will bring a good feedback, to make it better for all of us, wouldn`t it.

I mostly agree with you on this, no need for a dev stream, rather experience it fresh without preconceptions, my deviation is I am doubtful that stable will be possible before these guys go on their vacations. My reading of the tea leaves is that it will be another week or so before 2.5 exp. Still hoping...just not letting my hopes get high about getting it on console before they come back from vacation.

Good point, but remember that if something needs to be done in a proper way, it needs time. Calendar is just table of numbers at some point, at a time that a one need to do something properly, he/she avoids it. For good, not negligent in any way.

Worry not, we`re gonna smell enough to attract zombies sooner than you expect !

I'm sure you'll catch some blowback, but I also agree. Timeliness has not been a strongsuit. 2.5 sounds like a blast, I'm excited.. I'm just expecting to wait.
