Linux Steam Deck FSR?

I swear at some point I could use FSR when playing 7 Days on my Steam Deck, but now that option isn't there. Was I imagining it or did it go away?

Are you using the native client or one of the various Protons? It's still there, but I figure not if you're using one of the Protons.

If you don't quote him or tag him like @Jugginator he won't get any notification that you answered him and since you waited over a month to do so, he probably isn't checking every day any longer. I tagged him so hopefully he'll be able to answer you soon.

I have it unchecked, but no FSR option when in game…
Not really sure, basic install and nothing tinkered outside of settings and it's showing up for me. Check what Ace said, make sure you're looking in the upscaler settings. You can manually launch the launcher from the directory in desktop mode, maybe use it to wipe the game settings (cleaning tool), you can also get a log in this mode too while you're at it for us to take a look.

Good call, I will try to wipe the game settings. It is funny, the upscaler settings lists FSR in the tool tip when hovering, but not one of the options in the setting itself.

Ok, I did this - cleaned in desktop launcher, and all settings were reset. But, still don't have the FSR options. I also tried changing to Proton Experimental, just to see if it would do something different, but it doesn't.

Also, I had previously uninstalled the game and reinstalled it too. Also done file validation too. So weird...

Sure you don't have any system updates available? Also, are you using the normal update chain or a beta version? I tried tinkering around, but the only way I can get FSR to not show up is if I run one of the Proton versions.... honestly at a loss as to what it can be since I can't reproduce it otherwise. Check your system settings that might relate to it and start reverting them to default (e.g. the update chain)

Ok, that was the trick - I was using GLcore.

But now, when I am playing with Vulkan I am getting console errors after about 2 minutes of play…IMG_2658.jpeg

Just tried uninstalling, clearing all the save data, reinstalled and started a new world. Same set of errors popped up after about 5 minutes of game time.

Now, switching back to GLcore seems to not have the same error. Played an extended session without the problem. Back to the original issue, though, no FSR option.

Yeah that issue is something we've been looking at (related to the IOE you got). As it turns out, apparently FSR isn't supported for the GLcore renderer.

Ok, just to verify - I’m not crazy or have a funky install? You are aware of issues running Vulkan on Steam Deck (above error) and are investigating? Thanks for confirming, I will stop trying to figure out a solution if that is the case.
