PC V2.0 Storms Brewing Dev Diary

I was thinking the athletic hat, actually. :) Its current perk (reduced prices for food/drink) is... very underwhelming, to say the least.
There are a few bonuses on the new armor pieces that are particularly unappealing relative to other options. Like I can't imagine anybody choosing to make the athletic hat vs the enforcer glasses(?), and isn't there at least one other head slot item that gives +20% to all bartering for the quality 6 version? Maybe the set bonus for the athletic set is nice (I don't know what it is offhand), which would require the hat, but outside of that, what reason would anyone make the hat (other than to have it as a cosmetic)?

I don't recall TFP saying all the armor sets and bonuses were set in stone though, so perhaps they'll revisit and refine those later on down the road.

The set bonus for the athletic armor is use less food and water but by the time you can craft even q1 armor food and water isn't a problem. I don't find any of the set bonuses compelling, and I'd never craft the athletic hat for either the perk or cosmetic. I'll use it if I find it in loot and it's better than what I'm wearing but that's all. I'd prefer they just strip out all the bonuses, and have armor is armor - light, medium and heavy, no magic. Different styles are just cosmetic.

just in case any of you are interested, Joel went on Reddit today, apparently to do research, He posted about Jars, and asked why do people like them? he alluded to TFP thinking about changing the water system again...maybe bringing back jars...maybe not. Apparently he plans on doing a poll soon about stuff...on Reddit.
Great!..... another rework on a rework on a reworked system that didnt need reworking....i was hoping for this!!! I hope they do books again too!! Bandits can wait!!!

Simply put, if you want people to read your messages, post them in English, or at least include an English translation. Otherwise, a lot of people will just not bother translation then and ignore your posts. If you don't care about that, then you can keep posting in your language. But if you want people to read what you say, you should translate it.

And as was mentioned, if different people start writing in their own languages, most between that will translate a page only translate a single language, so multiple languages on the same page will not translate.

The choice is yours, and the forum allows using other languages. But if you post on an English forum, it is polite to post in English, just like if I post on a forum that is in another language, I would translate my posts for them.

  • First of all after an apocalypse it'd make more sense to use plastic bottles for liquids, instead of glass jars.
  • Plastic bottles could become loot-only, but when you find them they'd just be "Dirty Plastic Bottles".
  • I'd make them usable to collect water, but as said, both the water and the bottle would be murky/dirty.
  • To use them more effectively without risking to catch some illness, you'd have to clean them up before using them in recipes.
  • Cleaning/disinfecting them could be a process made at some workstation.
In case of biological contamination, the last thing I would use is plastic containers. Glass is easy to disinfect in boiling water, but this is impossible with plastic. A glass jar stays intact for decades. Most plastics turn to dust in 2-3 years under the influence of ultraviolet light.

In the real world, I would most likely use clay. When fired in a kiln, it will definitely become sterile.

You are the one posting on an English based forum, so you should try to do the extra work if you want a lot of people reading and answering your messages.
You write in French and expecting all of us to translate? Not cool! (and this is being said by a French speaking person who refuses to answer you in French since you do not try on your side either).
