Yes, I am guilty, I bought into it.

Well, I do like the hoarder armor/costume set :).

I bought the game in 2021 for 7.49 and just added another 6.74.

I think I am still way ahead.
If it makes you feel any better. According to my steam account, I bought 7D2D in 2014 for $29.74....;)

Yeah true, especially on single player sessions, we'd start getting zombies in the forums complaining about the game being P2W :ROFLMAO:

A lot of people complain about the price, since they're just cosmetics. But I think of the DLC as basically supporter packs. And the price is about right when you compare them to supporter packs for other indie games out there.

I dont know that I would have paid full price.

If it was something actually useful, I might buy it (a lot less likely now than 5-6 years ago, though). But I have a strict rule against ever buying cosmetics.

just skins. People would be livid if they actually were Pay2Win.
And yet! they paid for them in order to give a bad review knowing full well that they were just skins. Humanity is a beautiful thing.

Edit: Honestly, I would enjoy "pay to more adventures" DLC like Shivering Islands. That would be a nice deal ya know. I understand that there's no way on Earth that people will ever be happy with anything BUT cosmetics in a multiplayer game, and I disagree so profoundly that I might invent a new type of bada$$ futuristic weapon to teach'em!

Same, bought it shortly after release for 12$ or something. Thousands of hours playtime. Would have bought the desert one even without sale. The other 2 are just ugly, so nope.

If you're guilty, then what am I? I bought all the DLCs. It wasn't because I really wanted the skins; it was because I wanted to support the development of the game. I bought 7 Days to Die in late 2016 for €9.19, and I've sunk over 7,000 hours into the game since then. I've paid more for games that I often played through in less than 100 hours and then never touched again.

How does buying the dlc skins work exactly? do you have to buy it at a trader? or craft it? or just automatically have it in your inventory?

You pay real monies at the game store of your choice (steam, console shops(likely, don't have a console)), for that you get the outfit option unlocked in game. The outfitter is accessible from your character sheet - gear page, the DLC outfits are there even before you buy, just locked.

However, there are many people who buy such things. In the same Conan, all the DLC (except 1) is cosmetics, and the cosmetics are not particularly functional, mostly all sorts of home decorations, tables, chairs, shelves, and so on. And people buy and do not complain. In Dead Or Alive Online, they sold cosmetics that were valid for a limited time, 7 or 28 days, after which they disappeared. And people bought them.

In the end, we all play games for different reasons and want to see different things in them. Someone needs a plot, someone needs a picture.

so you're saying that you can have any dlc outfit right away at level 1 no struggle looking for new clothes? whats the point of even making fiber outfit other than lite armor if you can just magically have new clothes?....uhhgg i hate the armor system...

They're visual only; you get no stats, nor armor from them. So you do need a set of regular armor for the effects.

And I haven't tested if you can cover up a naked character with the visuals, not something that comes across in normal gameplay. Wouldn't be surprised either way.
