cracks me up that pve players dont think pvp is alive in this game.. go right now to battlemetrics or gametracker search for yourself that in fact pvp is alive and always has been... the biggest servers with population that are even around is pvp and has been that way for as long as i can remember. The problem is for last 10 years pvp players requests have been pushed to back of the line waiting for simple things to get fixed while pve players request are being met every alpha.  But yeah to say pvp is non existing would be ridiculous and this is where the pimp brothers dropped the ball. Like i said earlier our server alone only over the years have had over 250,000 players join it. Millions oimage.pngf people who play 7d2d play pvp, why ignore them?

I've been reading, over the years, about certain people who wants 7 Days to Die to be a PVP game, a farming simulator, a driving game, a weapons bonanza with 50 different weapons and types of bullets, etc.

Why would anybody want a game to have everything included in it. It cannot be a "jack of all trade" because it would then be a "master of none".

Also, some games, like Rust or DayZ are mainly PVP, and should be more suited for all you PVP maniacs out there.

I think 7 Days to Die achieved what it set out to be, and millions of buyers can't be wrong.

And for the VERY FEW who don't agree... You have my sympathy. 😁

Maybe you should stick to posting about your 25,000 hours played in 7 Days to Die. At least, that was funny. 😁

I have yet to see anyone say it doesn't exist.  Why are you making stuff up?  They are a minority.  That doesn't mean they don't exist.  But they are definitely a minority and it is clear that TFP isn't making the game based on that demographic.  You can keep being upset about that if you want, but it won't change anything.

i can't imagine how crazy PVP would be, cuz bases could be be Tunneled into no problem.

takes offline raiding to a whole level.

im more of a PVE player but i could imagine it could be kinda fun and a rush to play PVP

Any news? on anything?

18 million copys of 7d2d has been sold, out of that at least 10m of the copys play pvp or have tried pvp in 7d2d.

so yes its a fact... even though pvp players make up a huge portion of the game they are always put to the back of line on everything when it comes to this game
And where are those stats from?  I would like to see your proof.  I highly doubt over 50% play PVP.  I doubt even that baby have tried it even once.  And even if they did, trying it once hardly counts as playing PVP.

you would be surprised for sure how many people play pvp, even your favorite mod on this forum admitted playing PVP for 4 years.

The earth is 12000km in diameter but only 80km thick.

so yes its a fact... the earth is flat

Wow. it is really sooo easy to generate new facts 🤪

18 million copies sold...it was, I believe, only 2 million when it launched to "legacy" console. the number was then reported at 16 million copies sold for the longest time.

from that sentence: I am not accusing anyone of anything AND I am not saying console bought more copies. just wanted to get that out there first...i don't think the numbers matter anymore.

I have tried to find the sales numbers...can't. so can't find the breakdown between the platforms. Just wondering if any of you have had better luck over the years.

It's just curiosity at this point...we have all seen someone try to use those numbers as a valid argument or to try to make one...at some point. It would be nice just to know, but, not world ending if I never know.

a21 is when the other brother removed glass jars from the game
Who cares. Again, minutia. Trivial nonsense that people get hung up on either because it messes with their OCD or they liked how insanely easy it made it to get fresh water. I've played older alphas. Glass jars weren't anything close to something in those alphas that I would like to see in the current version.

PVP is your thing so of course you're going to think more people are playing it then there really is. Out of the 18 million copies sold, it's more likely that there are maybe 2 million that have at least tried PVP. And that picture you posted showed around 120 people in total. I venture to guess that there are maybe 2000 PvP players, out of the 20000+ Steam players world wide that are playing right now...and that's being generous.

There is no indication that PvP moves the needle. I barely ever see any posts on social media about it. It is very rare to nonexistent that content creators make videos about it. Remember, content creators want to get views. If there was any significant interest in PvP then you would see videos about it.

It is a side mode. And it will get side mode attention at best.

So, in other words, you're making up stats.  Not surprising.

I'm not sure anyone really has good stats, but I wouldn't say they're making it up.

By the way they count, I would be in their stats. Nobody is doing any exacting research here. I've been logged into servers that offered PvP. I have killed another player in the game (sorry they were accidents). I wouldn't say I'm a PvP player in 7d2d.

But their larger point is there are folks who play PvP and that population, minority or not, has some needs and feels like they struggle to get attention.

So I went from being the biased mod who hates PvP and pushes hundreds or thousands of PvP gamers away from wanting to post in this forum to being your poster child mod who plays PvP?

Interesting...

But their larger point is there are folks who play PvP and that population, minority or not, has some needs and feels like they struggle to get attention.

I agree. Also the survival purists can't get the attention they want and the farming fans can't get the attention they want and the mining crew can't get the attention they want and so on.

what we do know for fact at least 17.3% of all accounts have killed someone in this game which means they play pvp... NAPOLEON ACHIEVEMENT.. that doesn't even include players who haven't killed someone, So yeah once again for people to assume no one plays pvp is just ridiculous.

pvp is much more than just killing someone... it is so many other things than just killing

You can't have it both ways. If PvP is much more than just killing another player (which I agree with you) then you can't take a simple stat that shows only that 17% of all accounts have killed someone and say that means PvP is happening.

You can't use my admission that I played PvP before the game obviously shifted in ways that caused me to stop playing PvP over 6 years ago as proof that I'm one of today's PvP population.

I believe you that there are a lot of people who like to play PvP on large servers against strangers and raid each other's bases and loot each other's corpses. You don't need to contradict yourself to try and prove that to me. There's no question that there are people who want this game to have more depth in one of its many aspects and wish the devs would make those "fixes" so that the game supported the playstyle they are craving.

I'm not anti-PvP for this game. I'm just not very sympathetic since in most games of this nature in the industry it is completely the other way around where PvP rules and gets top priority while co-op and solo PvE get the short stick. You feel like a second class citizen in this one game whereas nonPvP players feel like second class citizens in every other game. I'm not going to lie that I'm glad these developers resisted the "big money" and didn't turn this game's focus to massively multiplayer PvP last man standing during a decade of time when that was obviously the big money making trend for many studios.

I think I have that achievement. I have never played PVP. I may have killed a few players over the years by accident (can probably count them on just two hands).

I think the majority of my kills counted for that achievement comes from a mod I once played. It had added the bandits in as NPCs and if you killed one of them then it counted as a player kill.

That is pretty much how I  got mine.
