@madmoleWhat are the chances of ever getting some kind of emotes? Like a sit in chairs animation for example. As something of an RPer, wouldn't it be cool to be able to sit in a lookout spot while awaiting the horde? :D  Kinda like on TWD, when they were seated on top of the camper.
I've been pushing for some of this kind of stuff for years. We want to make it so that NPCs can sandbox around and use various work stations at their base so trader Bob is pounding on a work bench or something, once that tech is written we can possibly extend it to players, or at least modders can do it. The problem is all the weird use cases I suppose like if a user puts the side of the chair against a wall or another block then getting into that seat might clip geometry and push the player into the void. We would have to make chairs "multi blocks" to avoid that, then you can't use them as intended and put a row of bar stools against a bar, etc.

Did you happen to update windows to the 2004 build? I tried it out and it screwed up my sound and had to revert back to the previous build.
Do you guys use external sound card (before latest W10 update), similar problem is what i got, but probably (yes it is Windows at first place) it is because I have 3 outputs and click between them depending on the day hours.

7 Days is stereo as I tested in 5.1 so far. Stereo directional sound changed, but only when I switched between headphones and some wacky sort of stereo speakers of Strix laptop.

Not from the game, faatal confirmed no changes are made.

Sound... card... wait... those still exist? I don't think I've seen a 'sound card' since like... the mid 90s...

@madmole  How do you visualize icons in HD? You have a 3D-models for this, right? If so, it technically means that you already have a models, which can be used in game. Will we ever see models of items in hands instead of sacks? A19-20 or later? In gold?

I would think Bob would need a new room in order to make stuff! he would be canned in their like a can of sham! Same with rekt! maybe he would have workers in the garden and some guting animals, Joel would have people banging on Anvils and polishing armor, Jen would have Doctors and people working on cem benches, and Hue would have peiple pack up guns and working on bullet press.

IDK ¯\_(ツ)_/ all i know is i want to steal trader bobs Vest! looks like alot of pockets i could uses!

you brought up modders, darn it why isnt there an entity group for just non hostile animals for farms. or just female zeds, so I can make actual his and her bathrooms!.

yes, I still have people asking me to install them for better sound systems. not all mobos have great integrated sound. other times it's because their sound died, but the rest of the board is good, so they get a cheap or old sound card to use

I think it could add a lot to the game later (not so much now). Things like that could be extended to the zombies and bandits too. Sneak up to a bandit who is sitting in a chair, lying in bed, busy at a workbench. NPCs strapped to trees, used as bait for zombie traps. Zombies strapped to beds and chairs by family who just couldn't let go, but their rage and hunger when they see you allows them to bust free.

yeah! don't question why Snowdog is in the girls room!

its for science!

and about the animals... no. it makes sense why they are not friendly! hell farm pigs that escape in the wild will turn into Feral pigs when they start to breed! Plus there are only two animals that are farm animals. (Pigs/boars, and chickens!

if this game was real then chickens would look like this! WILD CHICKENS THAT ATTACK YOU! @madmole

*has PTSD of Ark Micro raptors* no oh god please NO!

I'm actually legit a bit surprised... there's just not a good reason for that in modern systems... I mean I understand not having great integrated speakers... but that just means plugging in a set of external speakers... that's wild to me.

not really, here was one scenario. person came in, he cant plug his speakers in because the jack was cracked in an accident. kid stepped on it while it was plugged in and the end bent and cracked the casing. his $200 mobo still works, but that part doesnt and it cant be rma's under the circumstances of not a defect. so, $20 sound card or another $200 mobo?

I got a couple of pianos and a guitar among all these, mess indeed, OS should be considered before the game in some scenarios, indeed. :)

Loss of channels and so on is probability, it is not intended to work in so many ways.

At least it is not the game guys.

Hi Faatal,

Are we going to be getting a fix for the ghost block issue with distant POI’s In A19?. I only had this happen a few times in A18 but A19 is horrible every time I load a game and leave a chunk it starts. I can re log to fix it but it’s ruining my experience and many others as well. I can also enter POIS in the console to fix it but then I don’t see distant POI’s, is there another command I can use to reload this?..... OR is this something on my end? I have a decent Machine with an RTX2060. I even tried completely nuking the game install and started fresh but still happening.

That kind of situation makes perfect sense. And to be clear, I'm not actually surprised that sound boards still exist, that was mostly a joke, but it's legit a bit surprising that even a fairly low-end mobo wouldn't have good sound on it these days. There's a reason that sound cards haen't come standard with computers in like 2 decades... even good integrated sound is cheap.

We're mostly wearing padded with the odd iron here or there. But light armor mostly.

Then again it seems like most of you guys get your crits from vultures, that might explain why my friend gets bodybagged by zombies without a single crit. Maybe the crit chance from vultures should be reduced, but the crit chance from zombies increased.
Honestly I don't mind if crits are increased or if they stay the way they are, but I would much prefer for bleeding to return first.

This does sound like an awesome feature to have, but, although the void sounds like my comfy space as its black like my soul, I wouldn't like to be stuck in there during a game 😛
