Seems like thats the direction it's heading. But the problem with your statement is how they are "re" creating the product that I liked and purchased.

I didn't pay to have broken vulture swarms, or all the fun taken out of looting at lower levels.

Seems like Mad and the rest do a lot of listening to the squeaky wheels here instead of the majority.

And there is plenty of group think here as well, that just chirp on about how every change is great and "they" love it. Blerg..
What you paid for was an incomplete game that you did not know how it would be when final releases comes. Fact.

what exactly do the difficulty settings do? like do they just make zombies hit harder and the players do less damage?  I feel that isn't really explained when setting those options. unless I went streamer blind and missed it completely.

The colors are identical ... and when they are side by side you can see the difference but when they are found singly and trying to eat your face ... not so much.

And, as I stated, this is my opinion.  The TFP can do with it what they will.  And as someone else pointed out ... I might be blind.
Thanks for the comparison.  At a distance sometimes its hard to tell.  Especially when they are not facing you to see their eyes.  I don't mind it so much though as the fear is healthy for the game if you ask me :)

When you see a wolf, the player should have some hesitation versus "Oh meal on wheels1" :)

Here is my latest castle I'm working on. I have built this with only blocks the player can make so I can make one similar when the game goes stable.  Still a work in progress, but I'm just trying things atm.

Very nice! I wish we had fountains or statues or hedges or something to spruce up courtyards a bit, mine always look like this too. Probably not really what you'd be focusing on in the zombie apocalypse, but it's fun to imagine.

Minor historical detail if you care: real-life crenelations are much higher. The idea is that you can step behind one of the taller ones and be fully protected from incoming fire while you reload your crossbow or whatever. I can understand leaving them short, though, because it completely wrecks the view from the tower and it's not like the zombies are shooting at you.

...actually, come to think of it, since most zombies just run up and pound on the wall, higher crenelations make it *more* difficult to protect your castle, since you can't shoot down very well. So I guess if you want a more "realistic" look you go with the higher fortifications, or keep them low if you're actually defending in-game. 😀

LOL  I agree.  But I also think that the dire wolf should be scarier than it is ... and if it were, say, the size of the grizzly bear that'd be pretty terrifying.  Well, at least to me.

I'm not saying they shouldn't be scary, because they should.  I'm just saying that my opinion is that it'd be nice if there was more of a difference.  But then again, the intent might be for them to be similar so they do create those pants wetting moments when what you thought was a wolf turns out to be a dire wolf.

And I do like their new skins.  They are quite pretty.  Now, if i could just harvest and cure the pelts for a wolf skin rug... hehe.

Fixed it for you...LOL

Yea idk why they took the black Direwolf model away.

Erm. Sorry.. I have to since you can build them in 7d2d, but... MACHICOLATIONS!!!! :D   :D :D :D  🤣

For reference:

Edit: @Toban looking closer at the following I do believe you actually have included them in your design. SWEET!

Yeah, higher crenellations look so much cooler tbh, but I was worried about it all falling down hehe. I have the wall hanging over so I can shoot down on the zombies for defence. Tbh though, I'm not too fond of the gatehouse bit. I will make that a bit taller in my proper build with the wall lowered that branch to the towers. The towers I plan to make higher too. I'm going to make a spike moat too hehe so them damn zombies don't break it lol

so increasing difficulty just makes zombies hit like trucks and nerfs your damage into the ground which then makes the zombies bullets sponges. yeah they really need to put player and zombie damage into their own adjustable options.
You can mod them to be what you want them to be.

Yes I have mate lol. A few more pics of the defence for a closer look.
Beautiful. The kid and I are drooling over your fort design and making plans for stable. Might just stick to a "simple" keep at first and then expand from there. :D
