On the bright side, it's only a few days away and when we di get it, we have the full dev staff to bug fix crap for us.

"The chosen game difficulty no longer affects the game-stage value"
THANK YOU.

Edit: I wonder how much GS we'll accumulate per level now. Will it match Adventurer or Nomad? I can't imagine it'd go by any other difficulty.
Double edit: Put the above into spoilers.

wait i did not seee the drone DID IT GET TAKEN OUT Q.Q

It's been talked about on every stream and was even shown pretty in depth last night. It's not likely to be in Alpha 19 at launch, but will get patched in once they get it working. They are having to work on balancing and bug fixes because it's a totally new system to try and have a flying companion path find along behind you, through small buildings and rooms and up 40 story sky scrapers etc

Spoiler below about traders, from the patch notes.

It states in the release notes that the trader-to-trader quests will continue until the player "has unlocked all 5 traders". Does this mean that in A19, the number of traders in RWG has been reduced by half? Hmm...

I would think that is a reference to traders themselves; Joel, Jen, Hugh, Rekt and Bob. Not the number of spawn locations...

Ahh, alright. I would assume it would also be a reference to Navezgane.

So by this system, I predict that the game would send you to one of each identical trader now, and if you want dupe traders you'll have to find those on your own. I could be wrong though. *Shrugs*

Okay - did a quick first pass through the rn and one item did stick out.

Blood moon zombies will 50/50 teleport closer or die if target player is far away

@madmole - can you explain this a little further? I assume that means that if your bedroll is some distance away from where you are fighting the horde and you are killed, some zombies will move to a location close to where you respawned so there is a risk of them finding you and attacking. I am okay with that, but does this also mean that if you are found and fight back, the horde spawn will start up again and rush you in the new location?

Sounds like a great way to get people into a death spiral...
Faatal can probably elaborate.

Lacerations.  Do these go away over time or do they /require/ a sewing kit or first aid kit?
Everything heals over time except infection.

@faatal Loving the more robust hit boxes and detection which was lacking in A18. The only thing missing is a small bloody decal on the zombie knowing you've visually hit mainly from guns. Could this make its way to A19?

@faatal, good to see these are being worked on. Does this include the cases where is a zombie is in the process of falling down or standing up when they are killed and jerk into a full standing position to being the death animation?

Hopefully the animation blending you talked about on zombie reactions when hit will help play into this but figured I would ask.
Yep that is what the second fix was. "Fixed SDTD-13118 Zombies can stand after death (after falling)".

Actually it was the other way around. Death anim plays, fall overrides, then anim stuck in idle, no ragdoll.

  • Zombie random move speeds based on difficulty

Whoa, this is a completely new change (to me at least) that could be pretty interesting. I like it, although later on basically all zombies run anyway so I just expect everything and it's mother too to be feral. This is pretty interesting for early game, and a good change imo.

excuse me the stupid question, the keys streamers will be giving are for the game itself or for the alpha access this weekend?
The streamers will give Steam keys to get 7 Days to Die (obviously for people who watch but don't have the game already). They've been doing this for a few Alphas already.

It's not to get an early weekend access to A19 Experimental or anything like that.

I have waited patiently, OH so patiently and held my tongue.  The gloves (or tongue gag??)  starting this weekend.

HELL YEAH!  WHOHOO!  *does Happy Happy Joy Joy dance*

@Khalagar Found this in the second fixed section:

Handheld junk turret does not get the rate of fire increase from the perk

Electrocuted zombies still attack while being electrocuted
