I have 2 playthroughs going in the same world currently. One loads fine, so I know the problem is not with the world. The other will get to the SPAWN screen and once I press the SPAWN button, it just hangs until I use Task Manager to quit.
Is there a way to determine which file(s) are corrupt, and could they be replaced with files from the other playthrough? I'd rather not lose this game.
That log didn't show anything, but you do have mods that arent loading due to EAC being turned on, turn off the anti cheat
2025-11-17T10:22:31 1.392 INF [MODS] Trying to load from folder: 'GalaxyFarFarAway'

Doesn't it turn it off automatically when it asks you to reload? I stopped disabling EAC after the update when the pimps added that checkpoint.
Granted, I don't think I've ever read that message completely....
Also, as I mentioned originally, I have another playthrough in that same world that is working fine. The mods seem to load in both games.

Like 4 and Jugg said, the problem is with EAC. This message shows up in the log you just posted for the save that works: 2025-11-17T10:23:21 0.289 INF [EOS-ACC] Not started with EAC, anticheat disabled. There is no such message in the log file for the save that doesn't. All you need to do is make sure EAC is disabled and it should be fixed.

It seems weird though, since I'm starting the games the same way and I always get the same "We found some mods, do you want to reload without EAC" message, which I allow the reload for. It loads the base game without EAC and I then choose Continue Game from the menu. If I choose the working save, it loads without an issue. If I choose the problematic one, it hangs after I hit the SPAWN button.

I am not entirely sure why you are experiencing differences if you are starting the game the exact same way. Which save do you usually choose first to play or does it depend?

It depends. I had something like 50 game-days into the broken save and only about 25 in the good one, so I was using the broken one more. I'll try clearing out the log directory (so I don't make a mistake on which log is which) and start without EAC this time and post the two logs again. Maybe that will show something.
I will take a look, but here is how you can try to trouble shoot, get notepad++ and the compare
plugin. Open both file and move one to other window then select, compare. It will highlight
differences.
In regard to your situation, if I had to guess it is like this. The one that
plays correctly you loaded through muscle memory, and deselected anticheat by
habit, and loaded the game with run and save. It then kept the setting in
one of the encrypted files in your save folder, and initializes it from there.
The other somehow one step was omitted and the cached file has that alternate
configuration in it. Which one don't know can't read it. The bad one still has the
encrypted file that is not being updated.
These are things that I have learned, I never posted them
because I never thought they were relevant. Because or my
work history I copied my reg for Funpimps multiple times
I also archive, my saves and worlds, between each update I
do.
I had a problem recently regarding render distance, only
extending to the border of the next chunk. It sucked. I
manually wiped, registry, saves, worlds, logs, and game folder.
Verified all files.
Re downloaded and problem was still the same. So I just re imported
my Thefunpimps registry from v 1.4. Now I see my world as it should
be. What it taught me in this instance is registry file particularly
the encoded parts may have settings that are overriding game settings.
Second problem was the offline being grayed out or giving the can't
log on message. So I just copied back my save, prob gone. What I learned
here is in the save the EOS ID is cached and does not always connect for
initial logon. So now I make a backup of my save, and when I do an update
if it does not log on. I copy it back and play my game.
One other way to clear some of the inconsistencies, is wipe, install a before
2.0 play it, logoff, redownload the post 2.0 answer the message and play.
I hope this helps a bit. I have to make sure of compatibility, because I alpha
hop all the time, and the world renderer I use is Nitrogen, which I believe it
was Gazz stopped supporting. In it the main.ttw main.bak are associated with
A19. So I just copy a present one over it after creating a map, from the updated
poi table that I create, and It's green with no issues. Basically been using it
for nearly 5 years.
Depending on how comfortable you are with backing up, you can copy the
7days to die folder, somewhere else, and switch the player files from good to
bad and see if it loads. If yes then that is the answer, if no then the cached setting
is somewhere else. then just copy the player config files back to the original save
and the computer won't know the difference.

I think between the two with the huge amount of mods you have something got corrupted between
The first saved cache and the second. You would have to resolve that by verifying those
mods first. None of those errors show up in the good log at all.
That is the most I can offer. You don't need to necessarily delete them immediately, but at a minimum you need to
recheck those that I pointed to, as a starting point.

Thanks for all your help, both you and @LittleNightma. I've learned a lot and have a better idea of how to read and what to watch for in the logs. I appreciate all your help and time. I'll try a few more suggested fixes and see if I can get it working again.
And yes, that is a lot of mods, but it is soooo fun to be able to add mods!
But not so much fun when mods break your game and you don't know how to fix it... Believe me, I've been there and now play without any mods. I like the vanilla game anyway... But that's me.
